Keep your story straight with Story notes

Language

Story notes hold the facts shared by every book in a universe: who exists, where things are, what has been revealed, and what's still open. It's built to be searched mid-sentence, not read cover to cover.

Records, and the five categories they live in

Every story note is filed under one of five types: People, Places, Clues, Lore, or Notes. Each record has a title, a short summary, and a status tag, and can be filtered by type or found with the search field, which matches on title, summary, and tags at once.

Add a record directly, or accept one an AI proposal already drafted for you (see below). Either way, the record stays a simple, searchable card -- there's no requirement to fill in every field before it's useful.

Letting AI extract canon from what you've already written

The Extract canon action reads the release version of every chapter or article section you've selected across the universe and proposes a review list of people, places, clues, and lore it found explicitly stated in that prose.

Nothing is added to your story notes from that scan until you review the proposed list and accept it. You can discard the whole proposal, and accepted items still land as ordinary, editable records afterward.
